The Daytona Technician Training was scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday, December 9th and 10th however due to the limited participation brought on by the tightened budgets and current economic conditions; we have postponed the training to 2009.
We know a lot of you were looking forward to this training as were Jacobsen, Golf Ventures and Kilpatrick. We will reschedule this event for 2009 and forward you the dates as soon as Jacobsen and Daytona USA, Golf Ventures and Kilpatrick can reschedule the dates.
If any of you have already paid for this event, your monies will be returned so your budgets can be adjusted for 2008,
We appreciate your continued support and look forward to seeing you in 2009!
Eclipse 322
The first prototype of Jacobsen's Eclipse 322 riding greens mower was unveiled in January at the Golf Industry Show in Orlando, and the buzz has been rippling around the industry ever since. Here is a preview of what you can expect from the most advanced riding greens mower in the business:
- The lowest cost of ownership of any riding greens mower on the market, with 35 percent lower operating costs and 40 percent fewer parts to replace.
- The only riding greens mowers with independent reel speed, mow speeds and frequency of clip controls to provide the best quality-of-cut in any conditions.
- Every precision-engineered part has been tested 50,000 times and the primary functions are tested through more than 100,000 cycles.
- Reduced fuel consumption, reduced emissions, less wasted disposal fluid and NO hydraulic leak points to damage greens.
- The same legendary Jacobsen cutting units that have defined the industry for generations.

Golf Ventures will again sponsor the reception on Thursday, November 6th for the 16th Annual Lake City Community College Endowment Golf Tournament. The tournament is Friday, November 7th at The Colony Golf & Bay Club in Bonita Springs, Florida.
This tournament has raissed over $250,000 for the LCCC Endowment Scholarship Program. These resources have provided financial help to many students who have the desire to be golf course superintendents, turf equipment managers, and landscape managers, but are unable to do it on their own. Strong industry support continues to be one of the hallmarks of LCCC, and is valued greatly by the faculty and staff.
Join your fellow colleagues for a fun-filled day as we continue to work for such a worthwhile cause. Your efforts and dedication to support quality education at LCCC is truly appreciated. See you there!
